Contemporary art
2017, 1 yr., Paris, France
Born 1974, in Ibaraki, Japan. BFA, Tamagawa University. Lives and works in Paris, France.
By under- or over-exposing her shots to an extreme degree, Haruki Maiko creates serene, abstract photographic works in which the entire surface is covered in black or white. In recent years she has been working on a series that overlaps two different landscapes on photographic paper to create spaces that do not exist in reality. This year’s DOMANI exhibition will present Haruki’s works in conjunction with a sound installation, a first for the artist.
